Tinos is called "handmade island" or "island of artists". It is the birthplace of great artists whose works have traveled the name of Tinos and Greece at the end of the world. Wherever you go, wherever you look, works of art around you, from the countless kilometer of dry land, the exceptional beauty of pigeon buildings, cellars, farmhouses, mills and rare traditional settlements. Fountains, fountains, coats of arms, adorn the Tiananese houses, an island of intense architectural interest.

Indicative names of famous Tinian artists are Giannoulis Halepas, Nikolaos Gyzi, Nikiforos Lytras, Dimitrios Filippos, Lazaros Sochos and Georgios Vitalis. We highly recommend a visit to the traditional settlements of Pyrgos, Ysternia, Kardiana, Arnados, Triantaros, Ktikado, Falatados and Volax, where you will admire many of their artworks.

During the summer, important events (exhibitions, conferences, speeches, concerts, etc.) take place, with the main organizers of the Municipality of Tinos, the Foundation of Tinian Culture and many times the private initiative.
